Matthew 6:10 (KJV)
10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

A generic definition of kingdom is “Christ rule”. In the now, it would mean His rule in your heart. But in the context of this passage it is referring to His rule yet to come. Since the resurrection starting with the Apostles and continuing in the church, we have looked for His Kingdom to come. We must pray with expectant power for His kingdom to come. As John the Baptist, Jesus, the Apostles and the church preached and taught the eminent coming of His Kingdom.  We still look ahead to the fulfillment of this Kingdom.” Even so, come, Lord Jesus! (Rev 22:20)

I can’t help but look around as God’s people in His name try to build their own kingdom. We become confident in our own talents and personality that we attempt to build the church. Jesus said that He would build the church. (Matt 16:18)

Still today the hardest thing is to wait for God’s time. We want everything now! We want results now! We pray and we want answers now! His kingdom will come, in His time. We remain faithful. Galatians 6:9 (KJV) 9  And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. We are blessed.
