Matthew 5:14-16 (KJV)
14  Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15  Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16  Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

We live in a very dark  world. There is no greater time than now to let our light shine. The words of Mordecai to Esther, “who  knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14), ring true as much today as they did then.

As we walk through the world, its filth and grime tend to get all over us. It covers us to the point that our light can’t be seen. Like Gideon commanded to break the pots that covered the light (Judges 7:15-23), so must we break up the filth and grime to let our light shine, A little light overcomes a lot of darkness. Hide it under a bushel? No! 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 (KJV)
3  But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4  In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. We have a great task before us. Let’s start turning our lights on to break the darkness. This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine! We are blessed.
