Matthew 5:10-12 (KJV)
10  Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11  Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12  Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

I stand amazed at the strength of these great men and women of God. Who continued in service in the face of sure death. Hebrews 11:37-38 (KJV)
37  They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;
38  (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.
Their eyes were fixed on a higher prize.

Even today in our world and even here in this great country, Christians are being assaulted for their faith.  Is our faith too easy? My psychology professor at college was asked how he would respond to persecution. He said that he didn’t know because his faith was too easy, it had not been tested like that. I pray that I would stand no matter the test. I know that, whether I stand or fall, my savior will still be with me. Be strong and of good courage. We are blessed.
