Matthew 5:6 (KJV)
6  Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

We live in a world today that is looking more for loopholes and excuses than finding God’s way and walking in it. We see converts who seem more excited about their pastor or their worship style than they are about a growing relationship with the Lord. While these are both important, we need to look at priorities.

To hunger and thirst after righteousness, should be a deep yearning in our newly created life. As new creations we desire the sincere milk of the word. 1 Peter 2:2-3 (KJV)
2  As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3  If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. Psalm 1:1-3 (KJV)
1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The promise of being filled and prospering is to those who hunger thirst after righteousness. If we seek we shall find. We are blessed.
